1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the “VBC One” mobile application and the website vbcsjs.com (together, the “Platform”), operated by Shree Vagad be Chovisi Sthanakvasi Jain Samaj (“VBC”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility and membership

The Platform is intended for members of the Shree Vagad be Chovisi Sthanakvasi Jain Samaj community and their families. We may require verification of your community membership before granting access to certain features. We reserve the right to approve, decline, or revoke access at our discretion.

3. Your account

• You register and log in using your mobile number and a One-Time Password (OTP).
• You are responsible for keeping access to your registered mobile number secure.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable use

When using the Platform, you agree not to:

• Provide false, misleading, or impersonating information;
• Use another member’s information without authorization;
• Misuse the member directory, matrimony, or business directory for spam, harassment, marketing, or commercial solicitation not permitted by the community;
• Upload unlawful, offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate content;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or other users’ data;
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform’s operation or security;
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or terminate access for any violation of these Terms.

5. Member directory and user content

The Platform includes a community member and family directory and may include matrimony and business directory features.

• Information you add is shared with other verified community members consistent with the purpose of these features.
• You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of content you submit.
• You grant us permission to display your submitted content within the Platform for community purposes.
• You must not collect, copy, or use other members’ information for purposes outside the community.

6. Payments and donations

• Payments, donations, membership fees, and booking charges are processed through our payment partner, Razorpay.
• By making a payment, you agree to Razorpay’s terms in addition to ours.
• We do not store your full payment credentials.
• All applicable amounts and any taxes will be shown before you confirm a payment.
• Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

7. Bookings (hostel and guest house)

If you use hostel or guest house booking features:

• Bookings are subject to availability and to any rules set by the community.
• You agree to provide accurate booking details.
• Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy and any specific rules shown at the time of booking.
• The community reserves the right to decline or cancel a booking in accordance with its policies.

8. Intellectual property

The Platform, including its design, logo, “VBC One” name, text, and graphics, is owned by or licensed to VBC and is protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse it without our written permission, except for content you yourself submit.

9. Third-party services

The Platform relies on third-party services (such as Razorpay for payments and messaging providers for notifications). We are not responsible for the practices or availability of these third parties, whose services are governed by their own terms.

10. Disclaimers

• The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
• We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
• Member-submitted information (including directory, matrimony, and business listings) is provided by users, and we do not verify or guarantee its accuracy. You rely on it at your own discretion.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VBC and its trustees, volunteers, and administrators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, or from interactions with other members or third-party services.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Platform or any feature. You may stop using the Platform and request closure of your account at any time.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bhuj, Gujarat, India.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on the Platform with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
